The University of Strathclyde is a state-owned research institution of higher learning located in Glasgow, Scotland. It was officially launched as the Andersonian Institute in the year 1796. It is Glasgow’s 2nd-oldest institution of higher learning, which acquired its royal charter in 1964 as the number 1 technological university in the United Kingdom.
